The iTunes is an application developed by Apple for the digital media playing. It went to market at Macworld Expo of San Francisco on January 10, 2001. The iTunes is used to play and manage the music and video files. Today, with iTunes, many users can easily copy files from DVD to iTunes. The iTunes application with an interface can also management the contents in the Apple computer iPod digital media player. In addition, the iTunes can connect to Apple iTunes Store (if the network is in existence), for the sake of downloading the bought digital music, music video, TV shows, iPod games, as well as all kinds of Podcast and standard long movies.Be sure to not break any copyright laws or you'll have some nice police id cards in your face when the doorbell rings

The iTunes was developed by the iTunes and Bill Kincaid in the previous time, and was called as Sound Jam MP as a MP3 playing program. It was published by Casady and Greene in 1999. In 2002, it was bought by Apple Computer in 2002. Since that time, a new user interface was given by Apple to it and it begun to own new function to burn CD. Thus, owning its recording functions and removing the panel supports, iTunes came into being. Only Mac OS 9 application was added into iTunes at the beginning, and then the Mac OS X support was added along with release of the version two after nine months; and then Mac OS 9 support was suspended along with release of the version three. Now, a user can easily convert their video files to iTunes, such as DVD to iTunes. In October 2003, with the release of iTunes 4.1, Apple added the supports to Windows 2000 and Windows XP. However, since the release of the latest Microsoft operating system (i.e. Windows Vista), Apple Computer stated that there were known compatibility problems with the iTunes software. However, Apple Computer released a new version to resolve the problems very quickly. At presenti, iTunes can be operated in Windows 7. Thus, copying DVD to iTunes is a very simple thing as well now.
